This replacement petrol tank is designed for the Jeep Cherokee model XJ up to 1995, with the 6-cylinder 4-litre, or 4-cylinder 2.5 litre engine, where the original petrol tank is steel with the pump on the front face, just above the seam that joins top to bottom. (Note that some steel tanks may have a plastic under-guard and some plastic tanks have a steel under-guard.)

It is one of our Combo units - meaning that an LPG tank can be mounted with the replacement petrol tank.

It allows the fitting of a cylinder LPG tank 360x789 (70 litres).

This tank requires the fitting of a Roll-Over Valve (sold separately).

The original roll-over valve is moulded into the top of the plastic petrol tank and cannot easily be removed. So, you will probably need a new Roll-Over Valve (sold separately).

This supplementary petrol tank is designed for the Jeep Grand Cherokee model WJ from late 1998 on, with 6-cylinder 4-litre or V8 4.7-litre engine. The WJ model has a large spare wheel well in the boot floor.

The extra petrol tank is fitted on the near-side of the vehicle, forward of the rear axle.

You will need 1.5m of 32mm flexible filler hose (sold separately).

This petrol tank may be used on its own to increase the petrol range of the vehicle, with a full-toroidal LPG tank (720x220, 77 litres) in the spare wheel well, or it may be used in conjunction with our skidded cradle (3568) (sold separately).

This skidded cradle is designed for the Jeep Grand Cherokee model WJ from late 1998 on, with 6-cylinder 4-litre or V8 4.7-litre engine. The WJ model has a large spare wheel well in the boot floor.

It is designed to be used in conjunction with our replacement petrol tank (3464) (sold separately), which is fitted on the near-side of the vehicle, forward of the rear axle.

The cradle allows the fitting of 2 cylinder LPG tanks - 360x892 (80 litres) and 315x1139 (80 litres) behind the rear axle.

Fitting requires that the spare wheel well is cut out and a circular sheet of 1.5mm steel fitted to cover the hole. Four lengths of steel angle are cut and welded to the front-to-back chassis members and across the front and back of the sheet. These steel angles are used to attach the skid and must be precisely positioned.

This replacement petrol tank is designed for the Jeep Wrangler model YJ 1993 to 1996 with the 6-cylinder, 4-litre or 4-cylinder, 2.5-litre engine and leaf springs at the rear.

It allows the fitting of a cylinder LPG tank 360x789 (70 litres).
