Land Rover

This replacement petrol tank is designed for the classic Range Rover with the carburetted engine. It is fitted directly below the petrol filler on the rear right-hand side of the vehicle.

It allows the fitting of a selection of LPG tanks in place of the original petrol tank, such as:-
2 x cylinder 315x599 (40 litres) (with no tow bar) (This option may use our 3490 skidded cradle)
1 x cylinder 315x599 (40 litres) + 1 x cylinder 315x531 (35 litres) (This option may use our 3490 skidded cradle)
ellipsiodal 4-hole 600x380 (80 litres)
full-toroidal single-hole 600x270 (71 litres).

For some vehicles, it may be necessary to adapt the skidded cradle to fit.

This replacement petrol tank is designed for the classic Range Rover with the early EFI engine where the filler to inlet hose diameter is 72mm. It is fitted directly below the petrol filler on the rear right-hand side of the vehicle.

It allows the fitting of a selection of LPG tanks in place of the original petrol tank, such as:-

The tank requires a Roll-Over Valve to be fitted (sold separately).

This skidded cradle is designed for Land Rovers listed below:-
Defender 110 with 3.5 litre V8 carburetted
Discovery Series I, 200 and 300 versions
Discovery Series II and IIA
Classic Range Rover carburetted models
Classic Range Rover with low-level petrol filler
Classic Range Rover with high-level petrol filler

It is designed to accommodate 2 x 315x599 (40 litres) LPG single-hole cylinder tanks.
Where an approved tow-bar has been fitted, providing the bolts securing the lower tow-bar straps have their heads on the inside of the chassis rails, it is normally possible to fit the above tanks. In some cases it may be necessary to fit one 40-litre tank and one 35-litre tank.

For some vehicles, it may be necessary to adapt the skidded cradle to fit.

Some replacement petrol tanks require a Roll-Over valve (as indicated in the description of the tank).

The valve is supplied with the fitting grommet.
