Components and Service Items (all spares)

In this section you will find replacement parts, service items and things like filler adaptors and caps.

FlashLube Valve Saver System

Valve saver fluid and kits, essential for engines with soft valve seats, a wise precaution for engines with mechanical valve clearance adjustment, and a good idea on any engine.

The original Australian valve saver system is produced by FlashLube.

JLM Lubricants Products

JLM Lubricants is a Dutch company owned by GMS, one of the largest LPG parts wholeseller in Europe.

Tank Options for Kits

We stock a large range of LPG tanks of different shapes and sizes.
This section of the catalogue shows the different types, so that you know what we are talking about when we use esoteric terms.

The default tank type is the single-hole, cylinder tank of up to 90 litres.

Please note that any LPG tank can be filled to no more than 80%. So, a 90 litre tank should hold no more than 72 litres of LPG.

Have a look at the tank descriptions and decide which is best for your vehicle.

Measure (in millimetres) the space where you want to put the tank, then use the drop-down list to select the one you want.

If you can't find what you want, just select the "undecided" option, and we'll call you to discuss your order.

Sequential Gas Injection Systems - Special Offer

This type of system is suitable for electronically controlled, petrol-injected engines with catalytic converter, and is essential for engines with a plastic inlet manifold, and any engine manufactured in 1999 or later.

Direct injection petrol engines (such as the GDI, FSI etc.) require special consideration when thinking about LPG conversion. We have some new SGIS kits that have been tailored to specific direct injection engines. If you have a direct injection petrol engine that you would like to convert to LPG, please contact us quoting the make, model and engine code.

All Sequential Gas Injection System kits comprise:
Gas ECU and wiring looms
Gas injector rail(s), nozzles and hoses
Pressure sensor
Reducer/vapouriser
Changeover switch and level indicator
LPG filter and shut-off valve
Vapour filter
Water Ts, hose and clips
Vapour hose and clips
Plastic-coated copper pipe and clips
UK filler
Cylinder tank (up to 90 litres), cradle, straps and multivalve
Gas-tight box, vent pipe and fittings (as required)
LPG level sender
Installation Guide
Software on request

You will need a laptop PC for the simple set-up procedure, and a lead (optional extra) to connect to the SGIS.

The standard petrol injector looms come with solder connections. Plug-in type connector looms are available as an optional extra.

The cylinder tank can be upgraded to a toroidal tank.

A cylinder tank can be upgraded to a larger cylinder tank.

Sequential Gas Injection Systems - Front End Only

This type of system is suitable for electronically controlled, petrol-injected engines with catalytic converter, and is essential for engines with a plastic inlet manifold, and any engine manufactured in 1999 or later.

A cylinder tank can be upgraded to a larger cylinder tank.

Single-point, Closed-loop Induction Systems

This type of system is suitable for petrol-injected engines with catalytic converter, (providing that they have a metal inlet manifold and were manufactured before 1999).

Direct injection petrol engines are not suitable candidates for single-point induction systems.

The kit comprises:
Reducer/vapouriser
Changeover switch, wiring loom and level indicator
Petrol injector emulator and loom
Lambda control system with stepper motor
LPG filter and shut-off valve
Mixer
Water Ts, hose and clips
Vapour hose and clips
Plastic-coated copper pipe and clips
UK filler
Cylinder tank (up to 90 litres), cradle, straps and multivalve
Gas-tight box, vent pipe and fittings (as required)
LPG level sender
Installation Guide

The cylinder tank can be upgraded to a toroidal tank.

A cylinder tank can be upgraded to a larger cylinder tank.

Single-point, Open-loop Induction Systems

This type of system is suitable for carburetted engines and early petrol-injected engines without a catalytic converter.

Direct injection petrol engines are not suitable candidates for single-point induction systems.

The kit comprises:
Reducer/vapouriser
Changeover switch, wiring loom and level indicator
Petrol injector emulator and loom (for injected engines)
LPG filter and shut-off valve
Mixer and power-valve
Water Ts, hose and clips
Vapour hose and clips
Plastic-coated copper pipe and clips
UK filler
Cylinder tank (up to 90 litres), cradle, straps and multivalve
Gas-tight box, vent pipe and fittings (as required)
LPG level sender
Installation Guide

The cylinder tank can be upgraded to a toroidal or full toroidal tank.

A cylinder tank can be upgraded to a larger cylinder tank.

Impco Components

Impco is an American company that specialises in providing equipment for the larger, usually American, engines. Their equipment is used extensively on large, older carburetted or petrol-injected, open-loop engines and is often found on boat engines.

Diesel Conversion Kits

This type of system is suitable for diesel engines.

Conversion of a diesel engine is different from that of a petrol engine. Diesel is always burned - you just have the option of adding LPG or not. Adding LPG helps the diesel to burn more completely. This tends to clean up emmissions and increases the power output - allowing the use of a lighter throttle and leading to fuel economy.
Care must be taken to avoid feeding in too much LPG as ADDING TOO MUCH LPG MAY DAMAGE THE ENGINE. Tinley Tech cannot be held responsible for damage caused by incorrect tuning.

The kit comprises:
Reducer/vapouriser
LPG switch, wiring loom and level indicator
LPG filter and shut-off valve
Mixer and power-valve
Vapour shut-off control system
Water Ts, hose and clips
Vapour hose and clips
Plastic-coated copper pipe and clips
UK filler
Cylinder tank (up to 40 litres), cradle, straps and multivalve
Gas-tight box, vent pipe and fittings (as required)
LPG level sender
Installation Guide

The cylinder tank can be upgraded to a toroidal or full toroidal tank.

A cylinder tank can be upgraded to a larger cylinder tank.

Vehicle-Specific Kits

In this section you will find a number of frequently ordered kits for specific vehicles.

If you don't find your vehicle listed, and you can't decide what you need, just phone or e-mail us and we will find a solution for your needs.

Boat Kits

We can supply LPG conversion kits for boats, be they steady cruisers, ski boats or twin-engined boats.

Please note that tanks can be installed on deck or below deck. If the tank is sited in the open air, it should not form an obstruction and should be positioned so that it is unlikely to suffer mechanical damaged.

If the tank is mounted inside the vessel (i.e. within the hull, including the cockpit, recesses in decks as well as below decks), all connections to the tank must be enclosed in a gas-tight box with provision for venting any escaping gas to the outside of the hull. This should be done using vent pipes and bulkhead ports. The vent outlets must be at least 250mm from the exhaust outlet. The tank should be stowed in a separate compartment, not in accommodation space. The compartment should be vapour-tight to the hull and constructed to BS 476 Part 20 (fire resistance of 30 minutes).
