| | | In this section you will find replacement parts, service items and things like filler adaptors and caps. | | Valve Saver Fluid and kits. | | We stock a large range of LPG tanks of different shapes and sizes. This section of the catalogue shows the different types, so that you know what we are talking about when we use esoteric terms.
The default tank type is the single-hole, cylinder tank of up to 90 litres.
Please note that any LPG tank can be filled to no more than 80%. So, a 90 litre tank should hold no more than 72 litres of LPG.
Have a look at the tank descriptions and decide which is best for your vehicle.
Measure (in millimetres) the space where you want to put the tank, then use the drop-down list to select the one you want.
If you can't find what you want, just select the "undecided" option, and we'll call you to discuss your order. | | This type of system is suitable for electronically controlled, petrol-injected engines with catalytic converter, and is essential for engines with a plastic inlet manifold, and any engine manufactured in 1999 or later.
Direct injection petrol engines (such as the GDI, FSI etc.) are not suitable candidates for the current generation of SGIS. We anticipate that a new specification of SGIS will be available in 2010 to address the special requirements of direct injection petrol engines.
All Sequential Gas Injection System kits comprise: Gas ECU and wiring looms Gas injector rail(s), nozzles and hoses Pressure sensor Reducer/vapouriser Changeover switch and level indicator LPG filter and shut-off valve Vapour filter Water Ts, hose and clips Vapour hose and clips Plastic-coated copper pipe and clips UK filler Cylinder tank (up to 90 litres), cradle, straps and multivalve Gas-tight box, vent pipe and fittings (as required) LPG level sender Installation Guide Software on request
You will need a laptop PC for the simple set-up procedure, and a lead (optional extra) to connect to the SGIS.
The standard petrol injector looms come with solder connections. Plug-in type connector looms are available as an optional extra.
The cylinder tank can be upgraded to a toroidal tank.
A cylinder tank can be upgraded to a larger cylinder tank. | | This type of system is suitable for electronically controlled, petrol-injected engines with catalytic converter, and is essential for engines with a plastic inlet manifold, and any engine manufactured in 1999 or later.

The cylinder tank can be upgraded to a toroidal tank.
A cylinder tank can be upgraded to a larger cylinder tank. | | This type of system is suitable for carburetted engines and early petrol-injected engines without a catalytic converter.
The kit comprises: Reducer/vapouriser Changeover switch, wiring loom and level indicator Petrol injector emulator and loom (for injected engines) LPG filter and shut-off valve Mixer and power-valve Water Ts, hose and clips Vapour hose and clips Plastic-coated copper pipe and clips UK filler Cylinder tank (up to 90 litres), cradle, straps and multivalve Gas-tight box, vent pipe and fittings (as required) LPG level sender Installation Guide
The cylinder tank can be upgraded to a toroidal or full toroidal tank.
A cylinder tank can be upgraded to a larger cylinder tank. | | This type of system is suitable for diesel engines.
Conversion of a diesel engine is different from that of a petrol engine. Diesel is always burned - you just have the option of adding LPG or not. Adding LPG helps the diesel to burn more completely. This tends to clean up emmissions and increases the power output - allowing the use of a lighter throttle and leading to fuel economy. Care must be taken to avoid feeding in too much LPG as ADDING TOO MUCH LPG MAY DAMAGE THE ENGINE. Tinley Tech cannot be held responsible for damage caused by incorrect tuning.
