Closed-loop, Electronic Mixture Control System
If your vehicle has a catalytic converter, it will also have a Lambda probe
(oxygen sensor) in the exhaust, and you should be using a closed-loop LPG system
to ensure that the mixture is correct at all loads and engine speeds. The kits
we provide for engines with catalytic converters include the components
necessary for a closed-loop system.
Even if you have a carburetted engine or an injected engine without a catalytic
converter, we can supply a boss that can be welded into the exhaust system, and
a Lambda probe to enable you to upgrade to a closed-loop LPG system. The boss
and probe cost £43.90 + VAT.
We can supply electronic mixture control systems that use simple LEDs to help
you configure and tune them (for £71.75 + VAT), or systems that interface to a laptop PC with
software to set-up your system (for £112.95 + VAT). The choice is yours.
EcoVac Vacuum Operated Mixture Control
When you put your foot down you want power.
When you are cruising you want economy.
The Eco-Vac device will automatically adjust the volume of gas fed to your engine to give you just what you need. It uses the inlet manifold pressure to judge the demand for gas, and adjusts the power valve accordingly.

The Eco-Vac can be installed into any single-point induction
system (i.e. any carburetted engine or any injected engine with or without a
catalytic converter) as part of the original installation or at a later date.
So, if you are looking to refine an existing installation, and don't want to get involved with electronic mixture control (Lambda) systems, why not go for the cheaper and easier Eco-Vac
device for just £49.95 + VAT?
Rocker-box Breather
Some vehicles (esp. Land Rovers and Range Rovers) have rocker-box breathers
feeding directly into the carburettors. This can result in a dilution of the
gas-air mixture and cause poor idling. Better idling can often be achieved by
re-directing these to the air filter side of the mixers, to ensure that all of
the air drawn into the engine has been through the mixer. We can supply the
components for this modification for £24.95 + VAT.
